Absence excuse note

After an absence from school, school law requires that upon return to school,  a properly written excuse letter from parent or guardian should be submitted. The first day a student returns to school from an absence, an excuse note should be presented from a parent or guardian stating the reason for the absence. These excuse notes should be given to the homeroom teacher in the morning.

The full absence policy is described in the 25-26 Mifflin Student Handbook.

2025-2026 Uniform Information/ Dress Code (Grades K-8)

Students who violate the uniform policy will be provided with a temporary uniform for the day and will be required to serve a lunch detention.

Uniform items can also be purchased at the various retail stores, including but not limited to Target, Old Navy, Walmart, Amazon and others. In addition, there will be opportunities for families to swap uniform approved clothing at annual uniform swap tables hosted by Friends of Mifflin, so be on the lookout for those communications.
